PRIVACY and DATA PROTECTION

Thank you for your faith in us. We take protecting your private and personal sphere seriously. As such, we strictly adhere to the legal requirements concerning the gathering, processing and use of your personal data.

Here we provide some information regarding the care we show concerning your private sphere and the comprehensive confidentiality that we apply when we process your data:

KRAUS Betriebsausstattung und Fördertechnik GmbH, Sattnitzgasse 69, A-9020 Klagenfurt is responsible for the gathering, processing and use of your personal data.

Anonymous data collection

You can visit our website without telling us who you are. In this case, we save only access data with no reference to specific persons – for example the name of your internet service provider, the website that directed you to our website, and the name of the file requested. This information is at most used for statistical purposes so that we can improve our service. You remain anonymous as an individual user.

Gathering, processing and using personal data

Personal data refers to information about your identity, e.g. your name, address, email address, telephone number, IP data. Personal data is only gathered if you provide it so that we can answer an enquiry, process an order, open a customer account or register you for our email newsletter. By doing so, you are agreeing to the vendor automatically saving and processing the personal data that you provide (name, address, email address, telephone number etc.) and the data associated with the business relationship (e.g. order date, products ordered/supplied, quantity, price, delivery dates, payment and dunning data) in line with the stipulations of the applicable version of the Data Protection Act for the purposes of fulfilling the contract and for the vendor's own advertising purposes. You are entitled to revoke your agreement to the gathering, processing and use of your personal data – subject to legal retention requirements – at any time.

Newsletter

By registering for our newsletter, your registration information will be saved for advertising purposes. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by sending us a message. Your email address will be deleted from the mailing list as soon as you have unsubscribed.

Disclosure of personal data

We do not pass your data, including your address and email address, on to third parties. The only exception is our service partners, e.g. hauliers, who need your personal data (name, address, telephone number) to deliver your order. The data passed on is always kept to the minimum that is required. Our service providers may only use the disclosed data to complete their jobs. Passing the data on to third parties for the purposes of address trading is expressly forbidden.

Credit check

In the case of advance payment, e.g. buying on account, we reserve the right to commission a specialist service provider (credit agency) to carry out an identity and credit check in order to safeguard our legitimate interests. We will pass on the required personal data to the credit agency for the purposes of a credit check. The credit check may contain probability values (score values), which are calculated based on scientifically recognised statistical methods, and which may include address information, amongst other things. The information contained concerning the statistical probability of a default on payment is used to make a balanced decision on the establishment, execution and completion of the contractual relationship. Your legitimate interests are protected in line with the legal regulations.
